The questions you should ask before
your athlete signs up.

Here are the honest answers, in the order most parents ask them.

Who can see my child's Passport?

Nobody, until your athlete decides otherwise. A Recruit Passport is private when it is issued. Your athlete then chooses one of three settings: private, visible only to someone they give the link to, or public — which also lets verified college coaches find it when they search. They can change that setting, or stop sharing, at any time.

Can a stranger message my child?

Not directly. Messages can only be sent to a Passport your athlete has chosen to share, and they arrive through the Passport — never through your athlete's personal email or phone number unless they choose to publish it. Every message is kept on the record, and turning off sharing closes the door. Recruiting tools — saving an athlete, organizing a list, working a Passport through Coach Access — require a coach verified against a real program.

What does a parent or guardian control?

For athletes under 18, a guardian's consent is required before the Passport can be shared publicly, and a guardian can review what is on it, ask for a correction, or close the account. A coach never sees a minor's full date of birth — only the graduating class year.

What does it cost?

Nothing during our invitation beta. If we introduce paid features later, we will tell you what they cost before anyone is charged. A Passport is issued once, in your athlete's name, and what they've earned stays theirs.

What happens to the information?

It belongs to your athlete. They can correct their Passport themselves at any time, and they can download a PDF of it whenever they want. Closing the account is theirs to do as well — it is in Settings, it asks them to sign in again first, and there is a 30-day window to change their mind before anything is erased.
