Why we were founded
It started the way it starts for most families.
Recruit Passport wasn't born from a business plan — it grew out of my family's recruiting journey. After spending decades building long-term businesses and assets, I experienced the recruiting process firsthand as a parent.
I spent years traveling to games, showcases, and college visits while trying to navigate a system that often felt confusing, fragmented, and overwhelming. Everywhere we turned, there seemed to be another service, platform, or consultant promising to help — for a fee.
Like many parents, I invested in services I hoped would make the process easier. While some provided value, I was surprised by how much responsibility still fell on the athlete and the family. It also made me think about the many talented athletes who simply don't have access to the same resources or guidance.
The more I saw, the clearer it became that this is not a talent problem. The families who can afford the most guidance are the families most likely to be seen; everyone else rebuilds their case from scratch, over and over. That is an infrastructure problem — and infrastructure is something you can actually build.
So the answer could not be one more service an athlete rents for a season. It had to be a credential the athlete owns and carries — something that stays with them long after any service, including ours, is out of the picture.
I came away with one simple belief: every athlete deserves one trusted credential they own for life — not a recruiting process that rewards complexity, repetition, and cost.
That’s why I founded Recruit Passport.

We do not sell athlete data. Not to schools, not to advertisers, not to anyone, at any price.

An athlete's record should never feel rented. What they have earned stays part of their Passport.

Nothing is presented as confirmed unless someone or some source stands behind it. What an athlete has stated and what has been confirmed are never shown as the same thing.
We will not print an adoption number until there is a real one. When there is, it will appear here.

Robert Kodsi
Founder
Robert Kodsi has spent more than four decades developing and owning commercial real estate — work measured in decades, not quarters, where trust and permanence are the whole business.
Recruiting was the first thing he had encountered that broke every one of those instincts: nothing an athlete built was theirs to keep. He has been consumed with that problem ever since.
The team is small and deliberately so. Every decision is measured against one question: does this make life better for the athlete whose record it concerns?
